REVIEW: When I was first introduced to Dark Prince in 2002 I was seriously looking forward to reading about, well, normal vampires. They would be hot, hundred of years old, and be just this side of evil. I was pleasantly surprised to find a whole new world where vampires are evil and Carpathians are good. This book opens with the prince of the Carpathians, Mikhail Dubrinksy, in terrible pain. Wanting to end everything and seek the dawn and than a miracle happens and his lifemate reaches for him. Raven Whitney is a human and telepathic detective on vacation and when she hears/feels Mikhail pain she can't help but reach out to him. From trying to stop a human organization that's praying on his people, to finding out why the women are unable to carry to term Mikhail had me falling in love. The first paragraph may have pulled me in but I couldn't put it down until the last sentence ended. I cried, I prayed and I made long lasting friends.
